One of the main tasks of the Swiss salt works is to maintain road safety and mobility on wintery Swiss roads. Up to 500,000 tons of de-icing salt have to be distributed in Switzerland every year. Critical here is the timely control of supplies. The innovative functions of avanta also help here.
Sensors order supplies in good time
With avanta, it is possible to realize automated orders. Sensors in the silo determine the current fill level of the road salt. When a reorder level is reached, the required quantity is transferred directly to the avanta web store and then to SAP, allowing it to be reordered automatically.
